Zombies!: A Paper Miniature Collection

The small town, once bustling with the busy commerce from weary travelers and merchants, was silent.  Its vacant cottages and inns were left unscathed by sword and torch - their frames stood pristine and spared from raiders and brigands.  Framed by the slate gray sky, the structures stood imposingly over the adventurers as they walked the empty side street toward the main square.  

Rounding a corner, the band of adventurers discovered a mass of townsfolk around the now empty fountain, listlessly shifting through the streets.  Beginning to approach this bizarre sight, the fellowship were stopped cold as one of the villagers turned, revealing rotting features.  Dead, they were all dead.  Yet, they stood, their malevolent gazes falling on the living.  The vacant expressions betrayed one emotion in these expired townsfolk.

Hunger.

All at once, the mass turned, shambling toward the adventuring party at the promise of feasting of living flesh.
